Peter Ayers

I joined the Marine Corps in 1981 soon after high school. I left the service in 1989 and worked several jobs before joining the Delaware Department of Corrections in 1997 through 2018. I also rejoined the military via the Delaware National Guard in 1998. In 2004 I went on full time status and retired in 2017. I was employed by the Delaware Department of Corrections in 1997 through 2018. Some of my military and correction service were concurrent. After I retired from the military I went back to finish my time with corrections. Also, from 2018 to 2020 I did some limited work for the government in various capacities. In 2020 my wife and I decided to move to Florida after I fully retired. I have two Associate Degrees, one in Liberal Arts (history) and the other is Medical Assisting, which I never used. I decided to move into real-estate because I think it fits more to my needs to have an independent semi retired life style. I also enjoy helping people find their forever home or help lesson the stress of selling and finding a new home.

FUN FACT: I am very well traveled. I have been all over the world and many, many countries. Many of my travels happen while I was serving in the military. I have had two combat deployments, one to Iraq and the other Afghanistan. My wife and I love to go on cruises. We also host Foreign Exchange students and have been doing so for the past couple of years and plan to continue. I also help facilitate (place or find host families for exchange students).
